At this event participants will learn the art of kintsugi and how it symbolizes the mission of restoration that is Holos Hope. Translated to “golden joinery”, kintsugi is a Japanese pottery technique where broken ceramics are mended and their imperfections emphasized using gold. This will be a fun, interactive class where we will break a piece, or two, of ceramic and then put it back together using this beautiful technique of kintsugi, creating a new work of art.
